Monica N. Harrison

As Director of Finance & Accounting, Monica is critical in further accelerating the firm’s growth by establishing, implementing and leading strategic financial direction, producing measurable results and striving for continuous improvement. Prior to joining the firm in 2020, Monica was Controller for Chicago Sun-Times, and prior to that a Senior Consultant in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice at EY. Monica earned her Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Hartford, MBA in Finance from the University of New Haven and Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences from the University of Connecticut. Monica also completed the Postgraduate Technical Assistant fellowship program at the Governmental Accounting Standards Board in Norwalk, CT. She holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the state of Illinois and CPA Certificate in the state of Connecticut. Monica serves as Board Treasurer for the local chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and is a member of the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) and serves as Chair for the Women’s Committee. Monica is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Additionally, Monica mentors with Chicago Scholars, a program that helps first generation college students from underrepresented communities. In her free time, you can find Monica reading a new book, trying a fun workout and traveling.
