The Head of Business Operations is a senior leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing the internal business operations that enable Fiducient to serve clients with excellence. This role will partner closely with executive leadership, business line leaders, and operational teams to ensure strong coordination, consistent execution, and operational efficiency across the firm. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, operational discipline, and a passion for enabling team success through scalable business support infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Optimization
- Oversee firmwide business functions and internal operations processes that support business management, client service delivery, investment operations, compliance, and consulting teams.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to simplify workflows, reduce administrative burdens, and drive efficiency through automation, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Establish and maintain key business process documentation, playbooks, and performance metrics.
Strategic Execution & Initiative Management
- Coordinate firmwide strategic initiatives and support business leaders in translating high-level objectives into actionable operational plans.
- Develop and maintain project management frameworks that track progress, align resources, and ensure on-time execution of key priorities.
- Support the executive leadership in evaluating and reporting on organizational performance metrics tied to strategic outcomes.
- Serve as a key partner in M&A activities, including development of integration playbooks, detailed plans, and leadership of cross-functional efforts to unify systems, processes, and teams.
Business Planning & Budget Oversight
- Partner with finance to develop annual operating plans and budgets for business functions, ensuring alignment with firm strategy and capacity needs.
- Monitor business line financial performance in partnership with senior leadership, surfacing opportunities for cost efficiency or reinvestment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a connector across departments to ensure strong communication, alignment, and shared ownership of firmwide goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability by building trust and transparency across business lines and support teams.
- Support integration efforts for new services, capabilities, or partnerships, ensuring a seamless experience for clients and employees.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead a high-performing team, developing talent through coaching, feedback, and stretch opportunities.
- Ensure team structure, responsibilities, and capabilities evolve with the needs of the business.
Required Education, Professional & Technical Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in business operations, strategic execution, or administrative leadership roles—ideally within investment consulting or financial services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Strong understanding of institutional investment consulting and/or wealth management business models preferred.
- Proven track record of building scalable processes, leading cross-functional initiatives, and driving operational excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to completion. Skilled in defining program scope, setting milestones, allocating resources, and ensuring timely, on-budget delivery. Proficient in managing dependencies, mitigating risks, and aligning operational execution with strategic priorities.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders with clarity and credibility.

Work Environment & Travel Requirements
- This role may travel up to 10% of the time for training and or business/events.
- This role offers a hybrid work model with three days in one of our professional office environments and two days remotely.

The base salary range for this position is $190,000-240,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
