Joe joined Fiducient Advisors in 2008. He provides investment consulting services to other financial advisory firms as one of the leaders of Fiducient Advisors’ Financial Institutions practice. Joe also provides consulting services to family offices, high net worth individuals and nonprofit organizations. He gives advice and expertise on all facets of effective investment program design including establishing investment objectives, asset allocation and portfolio design, investment research and due diligence and overall practice management.

Prior to joining the firm, Joe worked for Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management Office and as a Managing Director for an investment management firm implementing a value-focused, long/short equity strategy based on University of Chicago Booth research. Joe earned his MBA with concentrations in Analytic Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BBA with a Certification in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Iowa. Joe is a former member of UNICEF’s NextGen Junior Board and the University of Iowa’s J.P.E.C. Alumni Board, as well as Co-Founder of the Hawkeye Business Development Group of Chicago. Joe is currently serving as President of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Alumni Club of Chicago and as an elected member and Vice President of River Forest School District 90 Board of Education.

Steve joined the firm in 1999. As the firm’s Defined Contribution Practice Leader, Steve is responsible for thought leadership and the strategic direction of the firm’s defined contribution practice. He also leads the firm’s efforts behind the Fiduciary Governance program, Annual Defined Contribution Survey, Benchmark Study as well as co-leads our Defined Contribution Business Council. In his role as Senior Consultant, Steve provides broad investment consulting services to the firm’s institutional clients including asset allocation, portfolio structure and rebalancing, performance monitoring, manager selection, spending policy and overall investment policy.

Steve received a BBA in Finance with an emphasis on Accounting from the University of Iowa. He obtained the title Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) from the Investments & Wealth Institute™ accreditation program at the Wharton School of Business and is a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute™, International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA). Steve has been a project leader with the nonprofit organization Chicago Cares and is an avid photographer. Steve enjoys playing golf, soccer and skiing.

As Chairman, Bob’s primary responsibilities include firm strategy, mentoring colleagues and advising a select number of clients. Bob co-founded the firm in 1995 and served as CEO from its inception through July 2023. Bob has authored and been the subject of numerous articles appearing in prominent publications including the Los Angeles Times, Crain’s Chicago Business and Pensions & Investments, and has taught courses on fiduciary responsibility and related subjects. He co-authored Asset Management for Endowments & Foundations (McGraw Hill), Designing a 401(k) Plan (Probus), The Practical Guide to Managing Nonprofit Assets (John Wiley & Sons), Nonprofit Asset Management (John Wiley & Sons) and recently authored 50 Billion Reasons to Grow Your Practice (Honor) and co-hosted Nonprofit Investment Stewards, a podcast for nonprofit leaders.

Prior to co-founding Fiducient Advisors (DiMeo Schneider & Associates), Bob served as Vice President for Kidder, Peabody’s Institutional Consulting Group. Bob obtained the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) from the College of Financial Planning and his bachelor’s degree from Bradley University. Bob has mentored for and served on the board of Year Up Chicago and served as a board member for the Special Olympics Illinois Foundation and the Associated Colleges of Illinois. He is a member of the Cardinal’s Council for Catholic Charities, where he serves on the Investment/Finance Committee. Bob also serves as a director for the Geneva Lake Water Safety Patrol. Bob’s interests include music, exercise, golf, and boating…all the better with family and friends.

Michael provides investment consulting services to nonprofit organizations, corporate executives, family trusts and other substantial investors. He services clients by providing advice and expertise on asset allocation, portfolio design, investment policy statements, manager search process and overall investment management.

Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Michael was a Wealth Advisor with RMB Capital. He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Chicago, is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) from the College for Financial Planning and is a CFA Charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst®). Michael is a member of the Michael J Fox Foundation Junior Board and volunteers with the Special Olympics. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, travel and golf.

Ahmed oversees the firm’s Washington, DC consulting efforts and services institutional clients by providing advice and counsel on all areas of fund oversight including policy, asset allocation, manager research, portfolio structure, portfolio rebalancing, performance monitoring and overall investment policy. Ahmed co-leads our Associations Business Council and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and also sits on the firm’s DEIB Steering Council.

Prior to joining the firm, he was Deputy Managing Director at ORION Investment Advisors, which was acquired by Fiducient Advisors in 2017. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia and obtained the title Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) from the Investments & Wealth Institute’s (formerly IMCA) accreditation program at the Wharton School of Business. A member of the Investments & Wealth Institute, he also served on the editorial board of the Institute’s bimonthly educational magazine, Investments & Wealth Monitor. Ahmed is the past Chair of the ASAE Finance and Business Operations Section Council and is a co-author of Association Investment Policies, Practices and Performance, published by the ASAE Research Foundation. Ahmed previously served on the Investment and Pension Subcommittee of United Way Worldwide. When Ahmed is not enjoying time with his family, he is nervously following his Virginia Cavaliers athletic teams.

As a Partner and Senior Consultant, Jon specializes in providing extensive investment consulting services to foundations, endowments, nonprofit organizations and high-net-worth families. Additionally, Jon is a member of the firm’s Discretionary Committee, Investment Committee and Capital Markets Team. Jon also co-leads our Endowment & Foundation Business Council.

Prior to joining the firm in 2003, Jon worked in the Family Wealth Group in the Chicago office of Bernstein Investment Research & Management. A CFA® charterholder, Jon is also a member of CFA Institute and the CFA Society Chicago. He received a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan and a MS in Finance, Investment and Banking from the University of Wisconsin. Jon is a volunteer basketball coach in the Chicagoland area.
